"Il portico a tre arcate – all’angolo della Via Timoteo Viti detta anticamente alle pendici del monte – è quanto rimane di quello che era uno de più estesi edifici urbinati, eretto sullo scorcio del XV secolo da Francesco Santi detto Papa e da Antonio di Simone; dopo che il più antico fabbricato era già stato notevolmente ingrandito per iniziativa dei papi Eugenio IV (1438 e Callisto III (1455 ) con la riunione anche degli ospedali dell’ Annunciata, Di San Giovanni e di Santo Spirito.La più remota origine dell’istituto dovrebbe però collegarsi con la omonima confraternita esistente al Pian del Mercato fin dal 1333, sull’area poi occupata dal nuovo palazzo Albani.
Il portico, propriamente ingresso della Chiesa dell’Ospedale ricorda l’architettura del Palazzo Ducale, benchè i capitelli risultino manomessi."

Ex Ospedale della Misericordia (Former Hospital of the Mercy) – Law Court
"The arcades with 3 arches – at the corner with Via Timoteo Viti – are what remain of one of the biggest buildings in Urbino. It was built at the end of the 15th century by Francesco Santi, known as Pope, and by Antonio di Simone. The old pre-existent building had already been substantially enlarged thanks to the initiative of Pope Eugene IV (1438) and Pope Callixtus III (1455) and also with the support of the Hospitals of Annunciata, San Giovanni and Santo Spirito. The most ancient origin of the Hospital could however be connected with the Confraternity of the Mercy, which had been in Pian del Mercato since 1333, an area then occupied by the new Albani Building.
The portico, entrance of the church of the hospital, is reminiscent to the architecture of the Ducal Palace, although the capitals are damaged."

"Das große Eingangsportal mit den drei Bögen, gelegen an der Via Timoteo Viti, ist alles, was von einem der einst größten Gebäude in Urbino übrig geblieben ist.
Es wurde gegen Ende des 15. Jahrhunderts erbaut von Francesco Santi, bekannt als “Der Papst”, und von Antonio di Simone. Das alte, bereits existierende Gebäude wurde dank einer Initiative von Papst Eugen IV (1438)  und Papst Callixtus III (1455) sowie der Hilfe der Krankenhäuser San Giovanni und San Spirito von Annunciata vergrößert und aufgerüstet. Die ältesten Hinweise über das Krankenhaus wurden von der Bruderschaft "Voll der Gnade”  überliefert, die seit 1333 im Pian del Mercato, dort wo heute das neue Albani Gebäude steht, angesiedelt waren.
